Written in memory of the tragic bus accident in the fall of 2005, and dedicated to the memory of Doug Greenhalgh, Therese Greenhalgh, Morgan Greenhalgh, Branden Atherton, and Paul Rasmus.

On a dark highway on October 17th, 2005, at around 2 o’clock in the morning, a bus carrying the Chippewa Falls High School Marching Band collided with a jackknifed semi. 5 people were killed, and over 29 people were injured. Threnody was commissioned in memory of Branden Atherton, Dough Greenhalgh, Therese Greenhalgh, Morgan Greenhalgh, and Paul Rasmus, who passed in that tragic accident.
